Soul retrievals are invoked by the Shaman when literal Soul loss or another significant quality or aspect of the Self and Soul has been traumatized, abused, neglected or corrupted into fragmenting, splintering or disconnecting from the whole.

Also recognized as a deep Spiritual disassociation. Important to note, Soul loss also occurs through self-sacrificial, self-sabotaging, or self-defiance against one’s one Spirit, path or destiny. Thus the Spirit is so bruised or corrupted by lack of caretaker ship, it can create its own vacuum whereby energy adjustments through right action must be circumnavigated, healed and reinstated within the Soul Retrieval.

Soul loss can be equated with a loss of personal power, a leakage or loss of chi or quantum energy, and is also reminiscent of a loss in the way a natural response might be had to the volleys and follies of life through personal power and life satisfaction. Individuals experiencing Soul loss may feel aimless, lost, have an inability to connect, be intolerant to success, or have a sense of futile flatlining.
